Terms & Conditions
When you register with our site and make a purchase you will be asked to accept our Terms & Conditions. You should read these thoroughly (below). We may vary these terms from time to time so you should check them each time you make a purchase.
Important Information about Using our Site - Return to top

Use of this website and any purchase made through this website constitutes an agreement to abide by the terms and conditions below.  These override any other terms and conditions.

Please note that every effort is made to ensure that the pictures and information on our website shows our products as accurately as possible. However, images will vary depending on the monitor's display and colour qualities. We increase the size of some images so that product detail can be viewed.  We cannot guarantee that the product images you see are an exact representation of the actual product.  Colours will vary on different computer screens.   If the colour or other aspect of a piece of jewellery are an important factor for your purchase, you should contact us to discuss it in detail before making a purchase.  Some materials, for example shell, will have subtle variations from piece to piece which cannot be accounted for in a single picture.

The contract between us shall be governed by the laws of England and any dispute between us will be resolved exclusively in the courts of England.  English is the only language offered for the conclusion of the contract.

Protx or Paypal processes all debit, credit and charge card payments for customers and will retain a handling fee from the transaction value. The remaining amount will be paid to JEWELLERY EDITION for the goods and services supplied. The total amount payable by all customers regardless of the means of payment will be the same, as JEWELLERY EDITION will be incurring the cost of the handling fee on your behalf.

JEWELLERY EDITION shall be under no liability for any delay or failure to deliver products or otherwise perform any obligation as specified in these terms and conditions if the same is wholly or partly caused, whether directly or indirectly, by circumstances beyond its reasonable control.  Please also read the other points regarding ordering, delivery, return/cancellation/exchange policies below.

Security and Your Personal Information - Return to top

We understand that security of your personal information is vitally important to you and we take it very seriously.  We use specialist software (either directly or indirectly through third party providers) to ensure that your data is protected.

Security guarantee
Our website uses a secure server which uses SSL technology (secure sockets layer) to make sure that all your credit or debit card transactions are completely secure.  The secure server will encrypt all of the personal information you send us, including credit or debit card number and name and address. Encryption turns the information you enter into bits of code which are then securely transmitted to the payment processor over the Internet.  We will take all reasonable measures to keep your personal information, order and payment details secure. However, we cannot be held liable if an event beyond our control results in loss to you.  Please note that no one at Jewellery Edition has access to payment transaction information that is made over the internet – only third party payment processing houses have access to this information once decoded.  Jewellery Edition does not keep, store or maintain your credit/debit or bank information (unless you choose to pay over the phone).

Security Code
We will ask for your security code when you enter your card details. This is the last three digits on the signature strip on the back of your credit or Maestro card. American Express card holders, this is the four digit number found on the front of the card. It guarantees that you physically have the card when you order and ensures that fraudulent orders cannot be placed with your card number alone.

Secure payment

PayPal
With PayPal, you can shop online securely and conveniently using your debit or credit card, bank account or PayPal balance – all without sharing your financial details with the seller. It’s also an easy way to receive payments online from the sender’s card or bank account, in the UK or abroad. It is free to send money by Pay Pal.  If you wish to sign up for an account go to www.paypal.co.uk - you don’t have to set up an account in order to send money by Pay Pal.

Protx
Protx provides safe online credit and debit card payment solutions for thousands of online and mail order businesses across the UK.  Protx has achieved the highest level of compliance under the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI).  They adhere to the most stringent levels of fraud screening, ensuring that customer details remain secure throughout the transaction process.  Jewellery Edition uses the Protx payment system to ensure that the data and information of its customers is secure.
